Recently, I had the opportunity to drive the 2011 Edge for and extended time. Ford has improved this vehicle in 4 areas. The fuel economy has improved 10%. It not unusual to get 26.5 on the highway. This was done on a green engine and will probably increase as the engine “breaks in”. The instrumentation is a major improvement with Ford’s 1 touch. Everything is at your finger tips and is designed to never distract you from driving the vehicle. The sync system will allow you to do everything from phone and media using voice commands. What an improvement! The styling makes the vehicle looks new and fresh. Finally, The vehicle is noticeably quieter than the 2010. Great vehicle Ford has another winner. George Vollman

The biggest objection that I have found to purchasing a used vehicle has been the mystry surrounding a given vehicle. These buying questions are best answered at the dealership. Your dealership should provide you with a Car Fax or Experian Title search report. These reports will give you the time line of the vehicle from first in service to current date. Furthermore, it will show any accidents reported by local police authorities. The maintenance of the vehicle, is tougher because often times the records do not get traded in with the vehicle. In comes the manufacturer and the dealership with a certification program. These programs are designed to bring the vehicle back to a near new standard and yet it is only as good as the dealership that is doing the inspection and correction process. Insist on seeing the inspection and repair order showing the corrections performed.
